Exmouth Town Council – Looking to the future to improve the quality of life for Exmouth residents, the experience of visitors and build on the characteristics which make Exmouth special.
Exmouth is sited on the east bank of the mouth of the River Exe and marks the western end of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
The Exe Estuary is a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is noted in particular for its wading and migrating birds.
Exmouth Town Council’s offices are located on the first floor at the Town Hall and personal visitors are welcome to call in for help and advice on anything relating to the Town Council’s statutory responsibilities. Opening times are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and 9.00am to 4.30pm on Fridays but you are advised to telephone in advance to make an appointment. The Town Clerk is the Council’s senior paid officer with 10 members of staff (Part time/Full time). The Town Council supports Exmouth Town Team, Tourism Team and Arts Forum and employs an Arts Officer.
Exmouth Town Council consists of 25 Councillors representing electors from 5 wards – Brixington, Halsdon, Littleham, Withycombe and Town Ward. Councillors are volunteers for which they receive no remuneration.
